Beth King
Strategy, digital marketing, content and digital design.

As well as marketing and brand strategy, my hands-on creative and technical skills include web design and development, graphic design, digital advertising, video and social media content creation, digital PR, and SEO — I am Moz certified in Technical SEO.

I manage our studio time and creative processes to ensure the brief is delivered on time and within budget. My approach is rooted in UX design — the science of how psychology and good design influence just about everything and everyone.

I specialise in creating clean, considered, minimal, and visually striking design work across print and digital platforms. Working in a reductive manner, I ensure that the message behind the design is as clear as possible.

I have extensive experience working for boutique design agencies, small–scale publishers, large corporate companies and creative start–ups, creating books, magazines, online content, physical and digital advertising, as well as branding and identities for exhibitions, websites and publications.

Larking is a boutique design and digital marketing agency based in Hastings. We work with clients big and small from architectural practices to local authorities, FMCG brands, start–ups, not–for–profits, charities, universities, the NHS and more.

We create compelling campaigns using video, animation, marketing copy and design that is 100% results driven.

We use the latest insights and tools in digital marketing so that all our recommendations are informed and backed up by real science. We are experts in print, digital marketing and content.

Everything we do drives us towards our mission of creating a fairer, more ethical economy putting people and the planet first.

Why Ethical Marketing?

We believe that all marketing efforts should provide genuine value to the target audience in order to earn their attention and their trust.

We call our clients partners and by creating growth for our partners we all help to do more social good, support local communities, employ more people and have a positive impact on the planet. We care about our community and as we grow so will our impact locally. We are on our way to becoming a Certified B Corp business. We currently provide 10–days of free pro–bono advice and support to local charities and not–for–profits and bank with an ethical bank.

Our Guiding Principles

  • As ethical marketers we commit to absolute honesty in our marketing for our own campaigns and for customers and partner driven projects. Our strategies are based on a foundational belief that marketing should be honest and that marketers should not take advantage of anyone’s personal data.

  • Similar to the above, we share what’s real. We open up our process to clients and our audience. Our practices are rooted in truth and we’re transparent on the progress – sharing our knowledge and expertise to deliver a better customer experience. We use storytelling in our marketing campaigns to build a deeper more transparent connection with our audiences. We never over-inflate our promise.

  • We won’t sell unethical or rubbish products or services. We review our supply chains and decline jobs that don't align with our ethics. We will not support unethical companies or causes. As ethical marketers, we create quality to promote quality.

Work Opportunities

We are a small agency that welcomes the opportunity for collaboration with others, sharing ideas and expertise.

Regretfully we are unable to offer internships or work–placements at this time, but this is certainly something that we are looking to do in the near future.
