Larking created the identity for Hastings’ £24.2m funding bid to the government.

The document and blog needed a strong, contemporary graphic identity that captured the essence of Hastings. The website needed to be accessible and easy to navigate for public engagement.

The government used our blog as an example to the other 100 towns and cities of a strong brand identity. The visual language was inspired by Hastings’ iconic visual landscape. With simple graphic illustrations, seaside colours, and a twist of geometric–pop patterns that evoke the rich visual heritage of our vibrant and creative town.
